Highly recommended if you're like me and like Touhou games and are looking for an intro to more general spaceship-y shmups.. Great game, really challenging and doesn't get boring with the stage select. Its a bit short though.. there aren't many top-down-shooters available on mac, so i recommend this if you're on mac and a fan of cave-style shmups. three difficutly settings make it accessible to players of all skill levels. five levels, two characters with several special attacks each, an energetic and irresistable soundtrack, tumblr-esque retro graphics reminiscent of snes/gba, a variety of missions and unlockables. also a unique combo system and features 'breaks' on mini-bosses and bosses in which you get bonuses for destroying components of the enemy ships before doing enough damage to progress to their next phase. pretty good. Highly recommended if you're like me and like Touhou games and are looking for an intro to more general spaceship-y shmups.. V fun game, great gameplay, graphics and sound. Incredible game; it's criminal how little attention this has received. The soundtrack is absolutely top notch, the graphics are lovely, and the scoring system is lots of fun, but those are less important than the more intangible aspect of the bullet patterns and stage design. The patterns in this game are just a lot of fun to dodge, they have that intricate organic asymmetrical feel like the best CAVE games. I was bored of shmups for years and years and this game got me back into them.The extra features are very nice. Being able to start at varying points in a stage is a godsend, and relieves a huge pain point I've had in other PC shmups. I've spent an embarrassing amount of time listening to the music room, even stooping to playing Normal Mode so I could access additional soundtracks. Support for replays would be nice.. This is a good game! Fun gameplay and a good variety of modes. I like that it makes me start from the beginning after a game over, instead of continuing where I died (although continues can be unlocked). Makes me feel like I'm earning every bit of progress. Fun!
